Gonorrhea: The Musical follows the journey of Casey, a young gay man who falls in love with Kyle, a reformed “bad boy”. After dating for a year, they both develop symptoms of Gonorrhea and have to make a trip to the town’s sexual health clinic/car mechanic shop, run by sassy Nurse Kiki, where their relationship is soon put to the test.
Phil Hutchins is the writer and producer of Gonorrhea: The Musical. The show is Hutchins' first musical and is the recipient of the Adams Prize For Musical Theatre Honorable Mention. Hutchins previously wrote and produced a one-man show called "Dating the Pirate" which was jury-selected for the Rhubarb Theatre Festival. Dating then went on to a successful run at the Toronto Fringe Festival and was remounted for a main stage run at Buddies in Bad Times Theatre.
Time to polish off a whack load of new songs. Can't wait!
